Meet Dr. Johana Cobo, DDS
Dr. Johana Cobo brings skill, compassion, and a personal touch to every patient she treats. Originally from Cuba, Dr. Cobo moved to Miami at age 16 and quickly distinguished herself academically, graduating Summa Cum Laude from G. Holmes Braddock High School. She went on to study Biology at Miami Dade Honors College and Florida International University, where she earned her Bachelors of Science.
Dr. Cobo completed her dental degree at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. While in dental school, she served as president of the Hispanic Dental Association chapter, driven by her passion for educating and supporting the Hispanic community in achieving better oral health.
After dental school, Dr. Cobo refined her clinical skills through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with LECOM University and NYU Langone Hospitals. During this advanced training, she gained extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry, molar root canals, implant restorations, fixed and removable prosthetics, and many other areas of comprehensive dental care.
Today, Dr. Cobo is one of the founders of Brisa Dental Arts. Known for her gentle approach, attention to detail, and dedication to helping patients feel comfortable, confident, and informed about their oral health. She stays committed to continuing education and is always seeking new ways to provide the highest quality, most modern dental care available. She is also Invisalign certified, offering patients discreet and effective options for achieving a beautiful smile.
Dr. Cobo is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Hispanic Dental Association, and Florida Dental Association.
